Mid-August 2025: Official launch of Welcome Portal 2025 with dates of the introductory events.

Mid-September: Start of digital purchase of the Deutschland semester ticket via movemix app. This public transport ticket - valid nationwide - is already paid for via the semester fee (mandatory). It is only valid from the start of the semester (1 October 2025).

1. October 2025: Official start of winter semester 2025/26 – first day of validity of the University Service Card (student ID) and the Deutschland semester ticket.

6. / 7. / 10. October 2025: Subject-specific introductory events organised by institutes (dates depend on the degree programme; may also take place on other days).

8. October 2025:  Lecture programme in halls at Universitätsplatz.

9. October 2025:  Freshers' Day with welcome party and lecture programme in halls at Universitätsplatz.

13. October 2025: start of lectures in winter semester 2025/26.
