Welcome, freshers!
The first few weeks will be exciting, of course. There are bound to be countless questions buzzing around in your head. Don't worry: many questions will be answered at the subject-specific introductory events organised by the faculties/institutes or at the central orientation.
Central orientation with Imma celebration (8/9 October)
On two packed Fresher's Days on 8 and 9 October (Wednesday and Thursday) - designed and made for all new students at the University of Halle - we present important student topics in the lecture halls on Uniplatz. And outside on Germany's most beautiful campus: student life in all its diversity.
The official welcome with the Ersti-Talk, i.e. the core of the Immafeier, is integrated into this programme on Thursday.
For our international first-year students in particular, we turn one lecture theatre into an English-only venue.
Institute events
In the very important subject-specific introductory events, the faculties/institutes provide information about the respective degree programme and course of study and present their own structures, teaching and research focuses. Lecturers, staff and the student representatives of the student council introduce themselves, often in a relaxed atmosphere, and future fellow students can get to know each other.
Here is the complete offer - sorted by (sub)degree programme:
