Language courses for degree programmes such as Romance and Slavic Studies as well as English and American Studies or IKEAS are offered directly at the departments themselves.

Students may therefore acquire subject-related and general university language qualifications at Sprachenzentrum. Language Tandem
The Language Center's language tandem program offers you the opportunity to search for tandem partners. You can also create your own offers and edit existing ones.
This program not only gives you the opportunity to find tandem partners. The Language Center also supports the tandem teams with an introductory event and a tandem excursion. Here you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, reflect on the learning process, and receive advice and support on the methodology and didactics of foreign language teaching.
Participation in the tandem program is free of charge. You can register for the introductory event under the Events section. A small contribution towards travel costs is required to participate in the tandem excursion. Information about the tandem excursion will be provided at the introductory event.
