Für Studienanfänger*innen

Welcome to Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg

Halle University is becoming more and more international every year. This is also due to the steady increase in international study programmes and, of course, foreign students who are interested in them (and also in the programmes offered in German). Welcome to Halle, welcome to our university!

This section of our portal (International) is available in German and English. It contains a lot of basic information, especially about getting started and moving on in Germany and Halle. Please have a closer look on information about our Welcome Week and Subject-Specific Introduction Sessions.

From many International sites you can access further official university webpages providing information in English on various topics.

A rather international term: COVID-19. The virus has also disrupted our life at university. Stay informed with our English FAQ specials on the general situation at the university and on international students' specific questions.

If you are unable to find English translations for some topics in other sections of www.ich-will-wissen.de, we recommend using online translation tools, which have become increasingly powerful in recent years. If you still have questions, please contact the International Office.
